POI Aviation, under the TanHoldings group, outlines goals to eliminate most single-use plastic across its business units with the launch of its Zero Plastic Campaign.

With a company-wide policy to identify and prioritize interventions to immediately reduce single use plastic across its Business Units.

The ongoing effort is supplemented by internal educational campaigns and an internal plastic-waste audit. The initiative aims to help develop a long-term roadmap for the organization to address resource optimization and sustainable alternatives.

• Reduce the amount of solid waste sent to landfills by 15% each year.

• Reduce energy use (electricity, gas, oil, diesel) by 5% per year for the next 5 years.

• Use of environment friendly paint in all company requirements.

• Eliminate visible exhaust emissions from vehicles, and reduce hydraulic oil leaks to less than one per year per vehicle.

• Conduct annual training to managers and employees on environmental policies and objectives.

3rd Party Collaboration

We work collaboratively with our partners and 3rd party suppliers to maximize efficiencies across our supply chain and to ensure we create meaningful impact and responsible growth. 

• Encourage our suppliers to adopt practices that minimize their environmental impact and deliver community benefits concerning their operations and throughout the supply chains and which they operate.

• Work in partnership with suppliers to ensure they understand, commit to, and meet our environmental standards and environmental purchasing policy.

• Actively promote industry-wide environmental best practices.

• Encourage the purchased goods and services produced or delivered with minimum impact on the environment.

• Processes are in place to actively improve the efficiency with which finite resources (such as energy and water) are used, and the release of harmful emissions to the environment is minimized.
