POI Aviation starts its own Cleanup Drive

Following the example set by Tan Holdings, POI Aviation has taken up greater effort to care for the environment by launching its own monthly cleanup. According to the management of POI Aviation, this initiative is their participation in the iServe.iGive Back Campaign of Tan Holdings.

The first cleanup drive for POI Aviation was held last March 26 at around 4 p.m. The team members’ itinerary was to take away the trash and debris from the Tun Herman Pan Road (intersection) to Flame Tree Road.

After the cleanup drive, the team members gathered to share food and to play fun games as a celebratory measure for the team members who celebrated their birthdays on March.

POI Aviation Takes Pride in the Good Deeds of Judith Cool

Being part of an organization means that you also have to adapt their values. This is what a POI Aviation team member has shown very recently she has done a good deed that reflected the company’s corporate values. Last March 19, Judith Cool, an Aircraft Service Agent from POI Aviation, found large sums of cash while she was finishing her cleaning duties. Cool narrates that she discovered the cash, both in American and Korean currencies, within the premises of on Asiana Airlines flight 603/604 and Asiana Airlines flight 120/119. The management of POI Aviation relates that they are proud of Cool for her honesty and integrity.

Cape Air Executives Visit POI Aviation

POI Aviation Takes Pride in the Good Deeds of Judith Cool

A courtesy visit, purposive of facility inspection and review of security matters, took place last March 24 as Cape Air executives met with the management of POI Aviation.

The executives who visited the POI Aviation office were Corporate Security Director Melanie Gradsky and Pacific Administrator Geoff Price.

Cape Air is an airline company that is recognized for their outstanding customer service and convenient hourly flights.

POI Aviation Says Adieu to CPA Comptroller Frances Mafnas

The management of POI Aviation held a simple farewell affair for retiring Commonwealth Ports Authority (CPA) Comptroller, Frances Mafnas. The luncheon was held at the AOI Restaurant in Saipan Grand Hotel last February 10.

POI Aviation GM Frank Camacho and two staff members from CPA also attended the luncheon for Mafnas.

CPA has the jurisdiction and control in airport operations while POI Aviation, as an Aircraft Ground Handling company, operates on the airport rules and regulations set by the CPA. POI Aviation’s affiliation with CPA is furthered due to their business partnership as the latter contracted POI Aviation to man three of their parking booths.

POI Aviation GM Receives Tan Holdings Volunteer of the Year Award

For the sincere efforts he put in organizing the DanDan Neighborhood Watch Task Force, POI Aviation GM Frank Camacho was duly recognized as the recipient of the 2009 Tan Holdings Volunteer of the Year Award.

The award, presented during the Tan Holdings Christmas party at the Susupe Beach Park in December 2009, aimed to distinguish individuals who prioritize community involvement activities for the common good.

Camacho was given a special plaque of recognition. He was also entitled to a cash prize worth $400.

As a rule, the cash prize received by the awardee is to be pledged to an organization which can put the money to good use. Camacho chose the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Camacho pledged half of his cash prize to the Make-A-Wish Foundation because he feels that the organization has a notable cause, which is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Asked on his sentiments about receiving the Tan Holdings Volunteer of the Year Award for 2009, Camacho shares that he is deeply gratifies. He says the award also encouraged him to commit himself further to the community.
