On September 12, 2008, representatives from Shanghai Airlines signed a service contract with POI Aviation to provide full aircraft ground handling services including aircraft grooming, line maintenance coverage, passenger service, ramp service and cargo service.
Frank Camacho, General Manager of POI Aviation said, “POI is very proud of this opportunity in demonstrating to Shanghai Airlines how efficient and well trained our employees are. POI has been servicing international airlines for over 17 years, and our experience in this industry has proven how reliable we are.”
The agreement will cover ground handling services in the Island of Saipan, CNMI. POI Aviation says that this would cover a total of two flights per week (Shanghai/Saipan/Shanghai) on wide-body Boeing 767-300ER, with its maiden flight scheduled on September 29, 2008.
